How do your people work? And why?
The answers to these questions yield a wealth of insights into the work habits, communications skills and adaptability of people on the job. The employee who understands his or her own behavioral style and motivations is better able to learn, adapt, and grow on the job. The manager who understands his employees at this level is better able to manage and motivate. This is how profiles create the conditions for the most effective training and development programs available.
A profile is a simple questionnaire administered on-line through our Internet Delivery Service. It is entirely secured through password protection and takes only about twenty minutes to complete. A profile does not test for knowledge or intelligence. It is simply an analysis of that persons individual behavioral style, and the attitudes and values that inform those behaviors. We put these results to work in our training seminars and in our hiring consultations.
The Coughlin Group primarily makes use of two profiles:
- The DISC profile, which addresses how people work (behavior)
- The PIAV profile, which addresses why people work (attitudes and values).
More and more companies and organizations are discovering the value of profiles in evaluating employment candidates and current staff, and in training and development of current employees. The use of profiles can help a company reduce costs maximizing and energizing its existing employee resources and ensuring that new hires work out the first time.
Organizations are finding profiles to be an objective measure of an employees talents and abilities, and a complete approach to understanding an employees attitudes and motivations on the job. Profiles save time and expense. In todays economy, it pays to have employees who can maximize their strengths while neutralizing their weaknesses.
Behavioral and values based training and consulting can help your organization improve its performance, productivity and efficiency.
