Since 1993, Jeanne has been the president of The Coughlin Group, Inc. Her mission is to be a catalyst of growth and prosperity for privately held businesses.
Jeanne has the prestigious professional designation as a Certified Facilitator of Peter Drucker’s The Five Most Important Questions strategic planning assessment. In addition, she is a certified licensee of the One Page Business Plan System. Jeanne has also received the designation of Certified Professional Behavior and Values analyst, and is a member of the International Association of Coaches.
Jeanne is author of the book, The Rise of Women Entrepreneurs: People, Processes and Global Trends, (Greenwood Publishing, October 2002), which received the “Featured Book Recommendation ” from the Harvard Business School’s Working Knowledge Group.
As an accomplished public speaker, Jeanne has addressed numerous professional and trade associations and had the honor to speak at the prestigious City Club Friday Forum, the oldest free speech forum in the United States. Jeanne has been a guest on NPR and several news television programs and she has been featured in The Plain Dealer, Crain’s Cleveland Business, Smart Business, Kaleidoscope, Ohio Entrepreneur, Inside Business and is quoted extensively in the book, “Secrets of Successful Negotiating.”
Jeanne is the Chair and Facilitator for the Cleveland chapter of the WPO (Women President’s Organization), a peer advisory group for women entrepreneurs. Jeanne is a past Chairman of COSE (Council of Smaller Enterprises) which with over 17,000 members is the largest small business organization in the country.
Jeanne is on the Board and Executive Committee of the Greater Cleveland Partnership and serves as board member for Team NEO, United Way and Mercy Hospital. She is a graduate of the 2003 Leadership Cleveland class and was selected as a Women of Note by Crain’s Cleveland Business in 2004. Jeanne was also recognized with the Entrepreneurial Leadership Award presented by Cleveland State University for her "dedicated work advocating on behalf of small business."
Jeanne earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Bowling Green State University with a major in marketing. She lives in the Cleveland area with her husband Kevin and two daughters.
